Urban exploration (urbex) is the exploration of abandoned buildings, structures and territories. It's a hobby that unites photography, history and adventure enthusiasts. The golden rule: take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints.

In detail:
The places in the catalog are abandoned. Legally, you have the right to enter open territories. The only Albanian law that prohibited foreigners from photographing military objects (the most common type of abandoned places here) became void in 1997. If a place is guarded, this will be noted in its description.

This website does not condone or encourage breaking the law or unsafe behavior. Do not enter private property. All actions are your own responsibility. Use common sense, and you'll be just fine.

There are two ways:
1. With points — go to the place's page and click "Unlock". Points will be deducted automatically.
2. Directly from cart — add places to your cart and pay with a credit card or cryptocurrency without topping up your balance.

Either way, the content will be available forever.

Points are the site's internal currency. You use points to unlock content — gaining full access to place coordinates, exclusive content in some articles, and route GPX files.

There are three ways to get points:

• Buy them — in your Account → Balance: choose a points package and payment method, credit card or cryptocurrency.
• Scouting — send a scouting report about a place you have found: the points are credited once we review it.
• Invitations — invite friends with your referral link; the details are in the referral terms.

Yes! Use package unlock to get a discount based on the number of places. When paying with cryptocurrency, you get an additional 5% discount.

It happens — places get demolished, fenced off, or sealed. If you've unlocked a location and find it inaccessible, let us know via the contact form. We'll verify the situation and offer you a replacement at no extra cost.

Urbex Albania provides coordinates and information — we do not grant access to any property. Most locations on our platform are freely accessible, such as abandoned buildings, ruins, and other open sites. However, we encourage you to respect private property, seek the owner's permission when possible, and follow local laws.
